Art In The Dairy

Refined Vision

September, 2007

From: Rose Hawley

It's been almost a year since we first offered classes at Art In The Dairy. What a wild ride it's been, on a curriculum that's all over the map! Deciding on Art In The Dairy's offerings for the next year has been a major struggle, due to the world of available choices. Art In The Dairy will remain open to all possibilities of media and format, especially the ones that fall from the sky!

To make room for intermediate and advanced level instruction, Art In The Dairy will only offer beginner classes to private bookings.

All classes will be limited in size to match the available machinery. Many classes are open to all ages. Students under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult, both receiving instruction, but charged as one student.

Additional studio hours are included with each class. These hours may be used to finish class work, begin new work, or brush up on skills in advance of class, to raise comfort level to intermediate or advanced level classes (instructional assistance extra fee).

Art In The Dairy's' success can be directly linked to its assistants, who have served as instructional assistants, arranged tools and materials for classes, prepared kiln shelves, cleaned bathrooms, and too many other tasks to name. One working assistant will be accepted for each class, and receive free private instruction and assistant training in advance of the class date. In exchange, assistants will  perform Dairy tasks, suited to their particular abilities. Apply directly to Rose at 704-287-4572, or rose@artinthedairy.com.
